Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use EDUos: this website and EDUos Web itself. We aim for level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
On this website
- Every page works with the keyboard, with a visible focus and a link to skip straight to the content.
- The interactive timetable demo also works with the arrow keys, and every lesson has a description for screen readers.
- Text and background have enough contrast, and animations are off if you’ve set that on your device.
- Images have a description, and screenshots can be enlarged.
- The website is available in Dutch and English.
In EDUos Web
- Colour schemes for colour blindness: for red-green (protanopia) and blue-yellow (tritanopia) colour blindness, and a high-contrast greyscale scheme for complete colour blindness (achromatopsia).
- A font for dyslexia (OpenDyslexic), switched on per user.
- These settings belong to your account and apply as soon as you sign in, on any device.
- EDUos Web is available in Dutch, English, German and French, so everyone works in their own language. The EDU app for students and teachers has the same four languages.
Known limitations
- In screenshots of EDUos Web not all text is available as real text. The key information is also in the surrounding text.
- Blog posts and news are written in a separate editorial tool and may contain formatting we can’t fully check.
Status
This statement covers the website and EDUos Web and is based on our own review. No independent audit has been carried out yet.
